ABOUT ARTS PEOPLE
Founded over a cup of coffee in the spring of 2018, Arts People now supports schools across Bradford, Calderdale and Leeds and offers home tuition to individuals and groups. Its founding passion and aims remain: to promote excellence and opportunity in arts education.
Richard Horsfall
Curriculum Director
Rich has a degree in music technology from Sheffield University and a PGCE from Huddersfield. He has 20 years’ successful experience in arts education, including as Head of Performing Arts. Many of his past students have gone on to careers in the arts. Through his work as a musician and sound engineer, Rich has been involved in productions all over the UK, including Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, Birmingham Symphony Hall and St David’s Hall, Cardiff.

Richard Hughes
Commercial Director
Richard is an Oxford graduate, who has worked in education, business and consultancy. He has over 30 years as a qualified teacher, with experience of senior leadership in four challenging secondary schools. This included a decade as a headteacher, where his focus was on creating wide opportunities for young people. In particular, he promoted school partnership and supported the value of sports and arts.
